The Qualicum Beach Farmers Market has been running since 1997. Every Saturday morning, rain or shine, it brings farmers, bakers, makers and growers together on Veterans Way, open year-round from 8:30am to noon. Every vendor makes, bakes or grows what they sell, and there's no reselling, so you're always buying straight from the people behind the food: fruit and vegetables picked at peak ripeness, local honey, fresh bread, flowers, ethically raised meat, spice blends, craft cider and handmade goods. The market began under the Arrowsmith Agricultural Society beside the Old Train Station on Beach Avenue, moved to Veterans Way in 2009, and has run all year ever since.
