About Cedar Farmers Market
The Cedar Farmers Market was started in 1996 by a handful of local farmers, and it's still run as a not-for-profit agricultural society. Every Sunday from Mother's Day to late October, it fills the grounds of Woodbank School in Cedar, a short drive from Nanaimo: the big market with small-town charm.
You'll find local produce, ethically raised meat, sustainable seafood, plants and flowers, crafts, natural bath and beauty products, coffee and food trucks, with close to 100 vendors on a market day. Shopping from 9:30 to 10am is reserved for seniors and people with physical or neurodevelopmental challenges.
